The boys from World Trail Pty Ltd are in town for the next fortnight and will be working on a 4km section of existing trail in the Sylvia Creek Valley (ie Mt Baldy area). They will be conducting a practical workshop on Saturday, 29 October, see below for more details. The funding for this work has been made available to our club via RLCIP funding through Tablelands Regional Council.

TIME - 9:00am to 4:00pm (theory in the morning at Atherton School and practical in the afternoon at Mt Baldy)

Where: Begins at the Atherton Swimming Pool at 9:00am, ride to Rocky Creek and then return via Tandarra to the pool for a sausage sizzle and coffee at 11:00am. Ride distance approx 25km, easy to moderate.
Why: Come along and help dedicate this ride to the memory of Lindsay. At the same time we aim to increase the community’s awareness of cyclists and their safety on our local roads.
Queensland Rail and the Department of Transport and Main Roads, with assistance from Tablelands Regional Council, invites all community members to attend an information session on the future of Petersen Creek and Barron River rail bridges.

This month's social ride will be lead by Wayne Baron; and is as follows:
Commencing 7am from the carpark of the Malanda Dairy Centre, 8 James Street, Malanda - beside the milk factory. (Good parking, coffee available and plenty of seating.)
The ride will head out along Millaa Millaa Rd >> Landry Rd >> Merragallan Rd >> back to Malanda >>
Belson Rd back onto the Malanda Atherton Rd >> Upper Barron Rd >> Stonehouse Rd >> Andrickson Rd back to Malanda Dairy Centre.
The distance is about 40kms. Depending on the weather and willingness of riders, Wayne will extend or shorten as needed.
